First i would like to thank all if the artists; Richard, Otis and Cameron. They played amazing sets and were very enjoyable to watch. Very importantly though for the first time in probably history I would like to thank the audience. Everyone was so quiet and enjoying the show. Needless to say this made it nice to get a very good recording of the show. If it is okay with everyone especially Richard, I would be happy to post the recording. I have the show in its entirety. I can also split tracks incase someone wants a certain song. No O' What a Nightmare, but it was replaced by the beautiful I Do. As soon as I get the okay from Richard I will post the recording. Until then you all have to suffer muahaha. Two new songs were wonderful: Frank Left and Prozac Rock To sum it up, most enjoyable and emotional show I have seen in Indianapolis. I will always go to Songwriters in the Round.

So, I've heard of this referred to in the twitter, and now an interview...

'Shakey' the Neil Young biography is a great read for anyone even mildly interested in Neil Young... the section on 'On the Beach' is fantastic alone.
My copy sits on my coffee table at home and gets referenced often. It's fantastic to put on a record of his, and read the behind the scenes...
He's a ruthless musical mercenary, and that comes through easily in the text.

Anyone else read this?

Let's please not post download links on PKN for currently available Margot music. It's not like the band is rolling in the dough yet, so please support them by purchasing their albums, 7" singles, etc. If you want to download their music, do it elsewhere. These message boards were meant for discussion, not a place where random people can come download studio tracks for free. I have removed the active links for these types of downloads. I know that you all are just trying to be nice by offering these up, but let's keep it to songs that are okay to be shared. If you aren't sure if it's okay to share, send me a message and I'll confirm for you.

Understand that it is absolutely fine to share live songs that were recorded from live shows, and with decretion unreleased demos and songs as long as they're not supposed to be released on an upcoming album.

What is NOT okay to post: any studio song versions from Dust of Retreat, Animal!, Not...

Well, I got to thinking... these have been posted all over these forums, so I'll put them in one place, right here. Not only that, but I found some new designs that I need to track down the artists on. I am obsessed with posters, especially related to Margot (duh), and as I was framing some of them this weekend and hanging them up, I realized that there are some that aren't on gigposters.com either, so I guess I'll post pictures.

Please feel free to post posters here... past, present, future, whatever. I'd just like to have a reference for all Margot posters ever printed if possible, haha, which is probably impossible, but at least we'll have a good collection going.

I know that Speck has lots of them, many being his own designs... as well as Kristen (ewiggy), who had designed two posters a while ago: one for Florida (the Orange magazine party) and California (I think, with the girl in tights and mary janes?) that I'd die to have copies...

I also ran across mention of a song called "Catherine, I'm in the Arms of a Woman I Hardly Know" which I've never even heard of.
