Erik's Lap Steel Pedals |
Lead | |
|
What pedals could i buy for my lap steel that erik uses in his music. It creates the whiny wide pitch. It's used at the beginning of carnival. Waht kind of
pedal would be used for that. I can't describe it well. i just purchased a Gretsch lap steel.

It sounds to me like a heavy reverb being used on the intro to 'Carnival'... If it's in the first 30 seconds or so. If that's not it, let me
know what time on the song it comes in.

Well, when i watch him live, he has these two pedals he always pressed down and lets off on, and it creates that whiny echo pitch. But yeah thats what I'm
talking about.

thanks man, sorry for the retarded question, see all i have is a lap steel, and yours was a pedal, so alot of the difference is the pedals it comes with i
guess, but thats what i needed to know.

well... My steel is really no longer a pedal steel. I took all the pedals off because they threw the instrument out of tune too much. It's pretty much a
lap steel now.
