Telephono/Soft Effects album) the french kicks head automatica clap your hands say yeah and as always: ryan adams jump (little children) we are scienists i tend not to immerse myself in "new" music because there are things that i obviously love. its hard to get into my rotation. i will slowly listen to a new album, and take a while to mull over it. unless it blows me away from the beginning, like ray lamontagne or laylights did. and sometimes, i can listen to something, dislike it, and then come back to it a few months later, and decide that i do like it. depends on what all i am listening to at the moment, and how it fits in. sufjan had to grow on me. -megs *Now with more cowbell!!*

I imediately got that form the beginning of "Time Bomb". Totally random, but there. Mew is also a current obsession; "Special" plays on repeat through my head on a daily basis. Others: Eastern Conference Champions Guillemots (W-O-W) Tom Vek (re-discovery) had VanGaalen and I'm really trying to give all the Broken Social Scene albums I was handed a listen.

Try out "Red Hot Drops" from his new one and "Clinically Dead" from InfiniHeart. He's kind of all over the place, though. I'm waiting and wondering when Guillemots will finally come over the the U.S. for some shows!

Posts: 2204 (09/26/06 12:38 PM) Sex Worker Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	she is interesting live. since she plays with sufjan, her band consists of many of his band members as well. i have to admit that i felt a little less than fulfilled when i saw her. at times i felt she was being more experimental than musical - and to me, it felt contrived. i enjoyed her set, though. somewhere between PJ harvey and tori amos. but that is just my opinion. -megs *Now with more cowbell!!*
