Posts: 14 (09/05/08 7:25 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I'd recommend if you're just starting out, an electric guitar with a volume pedal will give you a good feel... especially if you get a lap steel slide. Mess around with the various tunings and find ones that you like (open G, E9th, etc)... that will guide you a bit if you want an 8 string, or a 6 string. And that will help define cost.
