anyone know this relatively new group from Nashville, TN?
I stumbled upon a $5 used promo of their 2007 record "T.C.H.T.O.B." the other day at Cheapo and it listed some comparisons of course, 1 being Anathallo. I took the plunge and I'm pretty happy I did.
The whole thing was good. Filled with male/female vocal harmonies, xylophone, clapping, non-traditional percussion among many other avant-garde elements. But at the same time the SONGWRITING is quite good.
Maybe the most moving, the closing epic track "I and Thou."
I would suggest these guys for anyone into Anathallo, Kiss Kiss, Margot and the Nuclear So and So's, or any fans of the chamber, organic, or experimental (Kayo Dot perhaps?) kinds of Indie music.
